James first drove a kart at 6, trying to follow in his dad’s footsteps, who was a successful single-seater and sports car driver. Surrounded by racing his whole life, James got his first kart at 9 and competed at a club level, achieving many podiums and a few wins. Progressing to a national level, he competed twice at the Kartmasters Grand Prix, notably making up 20 places in the Grand Final. At 13, James moved into the Junior Saloon Car Championship, where in his first season, he competed in 14 races and achieved 9 rookie podium finishes.
Now in his second season, he has been a front runner, taking a couple of podiums. Looking to push forward in the second half of the season, James made the move to Vinna Sport.
